Sights in Euclid
Euclid is a city located in northeastern Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of Cleveland and is part of the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area. The city had a population of 51,441 at the 2010 census.
Euclid is named after Euclid, the Greek mathematician. The city was settled in 1796 and was originally part of survey Township 6, Range 15 which is now Warrensville Heights. Euclid was incorporated as a village in 1903 and became a city in 1930.
The city has a number of unique sights and attractions which make it worth visiting. These include the Euclid Creek Reservation, the Euclid Beach Park, the Fairyland Club, and the Tyler Davidson Fountain.
The Euclid Creek Reservation is a nature preserve that covers over 740 acres of land. It is home to a variety of animals including deer, coyotes, and owls. The preserve also has a 3.5mile hiking trail.
The Euclid Beach Park is a public park that was once the site of Euclid Beach Amusement Park. The park has a beach on Lake Erie, a playground, a pavilion, and a fishing pier.

History of Euclid
The Georgian city of Euclid is located in the northeastern United States, roughly 20 miles from both Cleveland and Akron. The city was founded in 1796 by surveyor Timothy Crum and was originally part of the Connecticut Western Reserve. Euclid was incorporated as a village in 1809 and became a city in 1951.
Euclid’s location along the Erie Canal and several railroads made it a prime location for industry and commerce in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Euclid was home to the Moore Works factory, which produced steel shipping containers, as well as Euclid Trucks, a major manufacturer of dump trucks and other heavyduty vehicles.
The city began to experience population and economic decline in the second half of the 20th century, as many of its manufacturing jobs moved overseas or were automated. Today, Euclid is trying to reinvent itself as a suburb of Cleveland, with a revived downtown area and new mixeduse developments.
