Westminster is a city in northern Maryland, United States. A suburb of Baltimore, it is the county seat of Carroll County. The city Westminster was originally called “New Windsor”, after Windsor, Connecticut. It is named after Westminster Abbey in London, which itself is named in honor of St. Peter’s Basilica.
