History of Nogales

Nogales is a city in Arizona. The city is the county seat of Santa Cruz County. Nogales was founded in 1882. The city’s name comes from the Spanish word for “walnut trees.” The city is located on the U.S.Mexico border. The population of Nogales was 20,837 at the 2010 census.
