Huntington is a city located in the town of Huntington in Suffolk County, New York, on Long Island. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 203,264.
The city was founded in 1653 by English settlers as a trading post on the Oyster Bay. The settlement was originally known as “Fair Harbor”.
