History of Dillon
Dillon is a city in Beaverhead County, Montana, United States. The population was 4,134 at the 2010 census. Dillon is the county seat of Beaverhead County and the home of the University of Montana Western.
Dillon Montana was first settled in the early 1880s and incorporated as a town on January 1, 1886. It was named for Union General George Dillon who fought in the American Civil War and the Indian Wars.
