Marshall is the county seat of Harrison County in northeastern Texas. Marshall is a cultural and educational center in the East Texas area. The city is home to Marshall High School, the Marshall Library, and the Harrison County Historical Museum. The Marshall Public Schools system includes 11 elementary schools, 3 junior high schools, and 2 high schools. The city is also home to East Texas Baptist University and Wiley College.

The Marshall Railroad Depot is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions. The depot was built in 1852 and is the oldest surviving railroad depot in Texas. The depot is now a museum that houses a collection of Marshall’s railroad memorabilia.

The Marshall downtown area is home to many historic buildings, including the Old Harrison County Courthouse, the Old post Office, and the WymanPartridge House. History of Marshall

The city of Marshall, Minnesota, was founded in 1856. It is named after Fort Snelling’s first commander, General William Marshall. Marshall is located in Lyon County in southwestern Minnesota. As of the 2010 census, the population was 13, 680.

The city was platted in 1856, and named after General William Marshall. The first permanent settlers were Henry H. Sibley and Norman Kittson. Sibley built the first log cabin and Kittson built the first frame house.

The city was incorporated in 1858. The first newspaper, the Lyon County Republican, was established in 1860. The city grew rapidly during the 1860s and 1870s, due to the arrival of the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway in 1870.

The city was struck by a severe tornado on July 10, 1881, which killed 12 people and destroyed many buildings. After the tornado, the city was rebuilt with many brick and stone buildings.

During the early 20th century, the city became a center for the sugar beet industry. It was also the home of the sugar beet processing plant for the Red River Valley Sugar Company. The plant operated from 1906 to 1985.

The city has a number of historic buildings and sites, including the Sibley House, the Kittson House, and the Lyon County Museum. The city is also home to Southwest Minnesota State University.
